WHAT TO EXPECT WITH EVERY SESSION

• 7% NC sales tax charged on all sessions, services, and products

• A Non-Refundable Retainer (50% of the Session Fee) is due at booking to secure your date on my calendar with the remainder of the Session Fee (the other 50%) due at/before the day of the Portrait Session (Wedding Balances due 30 days prior to Wedding Date). Due to a very full calendar and limited sessions per month, dates cannot be held without a paid Retainer. Retainer Payment is due within 48 hours of booking.

• PRODUCT ORDER PURCHASE REQUIREMENT – As a reminder, no digital files (images), prints or products are included with the Session Fee. You get to purchase exactly which images and products you want to order from your online proofing gallery (Example: Prints, Products, Wall Art, Digital Files, Etc. )

• ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS- Cash, Credit/Debit & Gift-Certificates (from Sara Lassiter Photography, Inc.), I DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS!!

• Portrait Agreement filled out & submitted (a custom link will be sent to you once you are ready to book). The Portrait Agreement serves as the Session Planning and Styling Form, as well as the Portrait Session Contract.

• Once your images have been “proofed”, they will be posted to a password-protected Online Proofing Gallery. These images will not be fully edited, they will have cropping/leveling, basic lighting adjustments, and color correction only. There will be a few fully edited images included in your proofing gallery to give you a good representation of how your images can look, once finalized. 

• Once you have placed your Order from your Online Proofing Gallery, your Session will be added to my Editing List. Your selected images will be edited in line with other Client Orders (by Order Date). Once finalized, any Print/Product Orders will be ordered, printed, shipped to me for verification/quality check, and then available for you to pickup. If you choose to purchase the digital files, I will contact you, once complete, to arrange a time for you to pickup your USB drive.

• Your Online Proofing Gallery is active for 30 days to view your proofed-images & place your Product Order. If you need to extend your gallery's expiration date, or want to place an order/an additional order after your Online Proofing Gallery expires, a $50 Re-Activation Fee is required to re-open expired galleries. Once paid, the Proofing Gallery reactivated for 30 days from that date.

• In the event of rain, or bad weather conditions I will be in contact with you, before the session time with backup options or to reschedule the session, based on my (the photographer's) discretion.

SESSION DETAILS, LOGISTICS AND INFORMATION

Basic Portrait Sessions last approximately 1 hour (Newborn Sessions can last 2-4 hours to allow time for safety, care and comfort. Some babies will need to be fed or soothed more often than others, and that is perfectly fine. We will take as many breaks for feedings and cuddling as needed to keep baby happy & asleep- more information can be found at Newborn Session Info). 

All portrait sessions take place either in my Home-Studio (for newborns and babies under 12 months) or On-Location. Portrait Sessions are scheduled on WEEKDAYS ONLY: Studio sessions are typically scheduled in the morning to mid-afternoon during the week (Tues-Thurs), Newborn Sessions are scheduled to start at 9am. Outdoor sessions are scheduled weekday evenings (Tues-Thurs), approximately one hour before sunset (often referred to as “Golden Hour”) to allow for the best lighting conditions. Outdoor sessions can also be scheduled EARLY in the morning, weekday mornings (Tues-Fri), if need be. Weekends are reserved strictly for Weddings ONLY! Please keep this in mind when planning and scheduling your session.

ALL sessions, prints and products are charged  7% sales tax in addition to the session fee/price, in accordance with state and federal laws.

Please be sure to read over the information below and ask any questions you may have prior to booking your session. Once you are ready to book, please contact me (HERE) for more information and scheduling. Once we’ve worked out all the details, I will invoice you for the retainer (as well as send other details concerning your session) I also send you a link for you to complete an online Portrait Agreement. Once the Portrait Agreement is complete and the Retainer has been paid (retainers must be paid within 48 hours of booking), we are all ready to go. I will also be in contact with you a day or so before the scheduled session to confirm and share any important details. I look forward to meeting and working with you 

*****I kindly ask that you do not photograph/video me, my sessions, or your child/baby during my session. You will get a sneak peek from your session, and you will be so much happier with the quality of my photo, than with any cellphone shot from the session. BOOKING DETAILS

NON-REFUNDABLE RETAINER REQUIRED TO BOOK

A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the session fee is due at booking to secure your session’s date on my calendar with the remainder due the day of the session (with the exception of weddings, which is due 30 days prior). Due to a very full calendar and limited sessions per month, dates cannot be held without payment. Retainer are to be paid within 48 hours of booking your session. If the retainer is not paid within 48 hours your time-slot will be offered to another client. As a reminder, your session is NOT officially booked until I have received a retainer. ALL retainers are Non-Refundable and are charged 7% sales tax.

My time is very valuable to me, and other people are waiting for appointments so by cancelling late or not showing up for your session, you are taking someone else’s opportunity for portraits. Please be courteous and only book sessions you plan to attend. In the event of an emergency or exceptional circumstances like your child’s illness, your session will be rescheduled, once, at no additional cost as long as notice is given in a timely manner prior to the session (new date must be within 14 days of original). Due to the fact that I schedule multiple sessions throughout the day, arriving late to your session will result in lost session time. Your session may need to be rescheduled if you arrive more than 15-20 minutes after our scheduled start time, especially “on location” sessions scheduled during Golden Hour, as these sessions ONLY allow for an hour of shooting before it begins to get too dark to photograph. If we need to reschedule based on client tardiness, a new retainer will be required prior to rescheduling the new date. Ultimately it is up to Sara Lassiter Photography to make the final decision. Retainers are not transferrable to other sessions or to other clients. 

WELLNESS POLICY

I have a strict wellness policy at Sara Lassiter Photography and take all my clients Health and Safety seriously. Please contact me IMMEDIATELY if your child becomes sick before your session or wakes up sick the day of your session.
